I am the founder and CIO of Otso Capital and a finance academic at UNSW Business School. My research sits at the intersection of corporate finance and law, covering corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, executive overconfidence, private equity and venture capital, and securities regulation. It has appeared in the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Strategic Management Journal and other leading journals.

I comment regularly on markets, corporate affairs and economic policy, including columns for the Australian Financial Review, The Australian, The Spectator Australia and The Conversation, and interviews with the ABC, BBC, Sky News, TRT World and A News.
